Tasman AV audio-visual technicians delivered yet another exciting project in the education sector, this time for their long-term client – Tarneit Rise Primary School in Victoria. A custom AV solution featured two VuePix Infiled LED displays, which were installed within the Auditorium of the school.

The Tasman AV team worked closely with the VuePix Infiled team to specify the perfect digital displays for the indoor space. These displays would be used to help present future events happening at the school grounds, together with the new HD camera system installed to capture the presenters and stream the content to both screens simultaneously.

The main focus of this project was to design platforms that would deliver perfect visuals at any time of the day and under any light condition, overcoming the extremely bright environment which indoor stadiums are notorious for. The installation of the LED displays was also challenging from a structural point of view, the existing walls needed an advanced bracing system to be put in place and the mounting system had to fit and align perfectly.

“This was quite a delicate installation as the space we were working within had several limiting factors”, says George Gemetzis, Director of Tasman AV. “Fortunately, our AV technicians have a high-level of commercial experience, which always serves them well when it comes to resolving the challenges around mounting, cabling and integrating advanced display, processing and control systems.”

VuePix Infiled GX series panels were a great fit for the environment, thanks to the lightweight frame system and creative mounting possibilities. Both LED displays are 3.6m wide and 2m high with a 2.9mm pixel pitch, delivering superb visuals for any game, match or event, whether streamed live or reproduced. The system features automatic brightness sensors to ensure solid and optimum performance during any time of the day.

NovaStar H2 all-in-one processor is being used to optimize the content in real-time.

The final result – two perfectly aligned VuePix Infiled LED walls, integrated seamlessly within the environment and paired with the latest processing and control solution.

“The client is very happy with the outcome,” comments George. “The screens are being used daily for assemblies, school concerts and physical education programs.”
